UNDERSTANDING YOUR SKIN

LINES AND WRINKLES ACTUALLY START
BENEATH THE SURFACE

Your skin is the largest organ in the body. It consists of two main layers: the epidermis (the outermost layer) and the dermis. The dermis consists of collagen and elastin fibres, which give the skin its strength and structure. As your skin ages, the collagen in the dermis starts to decrease, meaning your skin loses that structure and fine lines and wrinkles start appearing at the surface.
